We don''t know who came up with this name, but you have to give the person one thing: Rarely is a name so creative and at the same time so appropriate.
Alocasia ''Flying Squid'' is a very rare and exceptional arum family with octopus-like petioles and tiny leaves at the end of each petiole. both colored deep red-violet-black. Actually, the large leaves of the alocasia are the umbrellas of the rainforest - but the tiny leaves of the flying squid cannot be counted among them.
This dwarf form of the Alocasia does not grow much larger than 30-35cm - so it is already fully grown.
It''s a must-have for collectors and lovers of really weird, nerdy plants!
