Aphelandra Squarrosa ''White Wash'' is a subspecies of the popular and pet-friendly ''zebra plant'', also known as the zebra plant. This plant is notable for its wavy, white-beige and green-spotted leaves and prominent veins. Native to Brazil, the Aphelandra is a true jungle plant that can also become a climber in its natural habitat.
The Aphelandra likes a bright and warm location, but can also thrive in partially shaded locations. However, the plant will not flower if it does not have enough light. During the summer months, you should take care to keep the soil consistently moist, while during the winter it prefers to dry out a bit between waterings.
