A magnificent green plant - easy to care for and attractive
In its homeland, the tropical regions of Central America and the Caribbean, this shrub can grow up to 10m high. With us as a houseplant, however, it doesn''t make it, there are a maximum of 2.50m in it.
Although the balsam apple bears some resemblance to the gum tree, it is not related to it.
In addition to the lush green foliage, it also has a second special feature: in summer, Clusia develops funnel-shaped flowers that smell wonderfully of vanilla.

We recommend pruning the plant regularly
Both the leaves and the sap are poisonous. The juice of Clusia derives when consumed in large quantities can cause discomfort and allergic reactions. It is therefore best to place the Clusia out of the reach of children and pets.
