The Cymbidium Orchid is a slightly different orchid, which rewards you with lush flowers. It comes from the higher altitudes of Taiwan and China and therefore, unlike its tropical relatives, does not appreciate cooler temperatures. A cool winter garden, a bright staircase or an airy bedroom are ideal to enjoy their flowering splendour.

Location: Cymbidia likes a bright location, especially in winter this is important. In spring and summer it does not want direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves could burn.
Watering: Like other green plants, it needs sufficient water. Dip it in lukewarm water for a few minutes a week, let it drip off briefly and then put it back in the pot.
Fertilisation: do not fertilise during the winter months, after flowering use nitrogenous fertiliser once a week.
