Robust ground cover shrub with decorative berries - Symphoricarpos chenaultii 'Hancock'
Symphoricarpos chenaultii 'Hancock', also known as low purple berry, is a hardy, spreading ground cover shrub that impresses in both summer and fall. Small, delicate, white flowers appear from June to July, attracting numerous pollinators. In the fall, decorative white berries follow, which cling to the branches well into the winter and make a beautiful addition to the autumnal garden design.
This robust and weather-resistant plant is ideal for beds, extensive planting or low hedges. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is particularly easy to care for. Symphoricarpos 'Hancock' is hardy and remains attractive even in the cold season. The purple berry can be used as a taller ground cover but also as a low hedge plant, as it can grow up to 1 meter over time.
