Easy-care, evergreen ground cover - Lonicera nitida 'Maygreen'
Lonicera nitida 'Maigrün', also known as hedge myrtle, is a versatile, evergreen plant that is ideal for hedges, planting beds or as a ground cover. Its dense, bright green foliage remains all year round and provides structure in the garden. With its compact, bushy growth, it reaches a height of around 50-60 cm, but can be kept at the desired height by regular pruning.
This robust plant thrives in any type of soil and feels at home in both full sun and shade. It is easy to care for and hardy, making it ideal for permanent greenery. Regular pruning before the end of March or around the longest day of the year helps to maintain the dense growth habit and keep the plant compact.
