Gyros herb is ideal for anyone who likes a hearty "meaty" seasoning. This herb also offers the perfect taste for vegetarians who want to enjoy a hearty flavor. Simply cut off 10 cm long shoots, detach the fine leaves and sprinkle over a salad or hot dish. It can be used both fresh and dried. From August it forms 10 - 15 cm long flower panicles. These are also edible and have a somewhat milder aroma.

USE
Both fresh and dried, gyros herb is a wonderful spice for gyros. However, many other meat dishes as well as pasta and pizza can also be perfectly seasoned with gyros herb. The entire plant has a strong aromatic scent and enriches any herb garden.
CARE
Gyros herb should be planted in a sheltered, sunny spot in the garden, e.g. in a rockery or, even better, in a container. It is only partially frost-hardy, down to minus 5°C, so winter protection is required! Seed-resistant variety.
