People who have experienced the effects of the herb on their own bodies agree: the herb of immortality is better than ginseng! It has been used for centuries in China as a tea made from fresh leaves. It originates from the Chinese province of Guizhou, where an unusually high number of 100-year-olds live. However, the plant is not permitted as a foodstuff in Europe.

USE
Outside Europe, in Asia the fresh or dried leaves of the herb of immortality are brewed into a tasty tea. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine.
As the plant was probably not used as a food in Europe before 1997, it is not registered or authorized as a food in Europe under the Novel Food Regulation.
CARE
The herb of immortality is perennial and is considered hardy to around -15 °C, although the leaves freeze back above ground. The herb of immortality sprouts again in spring from the root suckers deep in the soil. The herb of immortality can be ideally trained up a trellis or used decoratively as a hanging plant. Pure seed variety.
