Jewel orchids are orchids with unusual foliage that grow in the ground rather than in the air or trees like their epiphytic relatives.
Macodes petola likes a partially shaded to bright spot without direct sun. The substrate (a mixture of fine bark and sphagnum moss) should always be slightly moist.
This gem is particularly suitable for glasses, terrariums or bottle gardens, as the humidity is higher there and watering is less frequent.
