Fragrant, hardy lavender - Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead'
Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead' is a popular, compact variety of true lavender that transforms any garden into a Mediterranean oasis with its deep purple flowers and calming fragrance. Its densely growing, silver-green leaves form a beautiful contrast to the aromatic flowers, which attract numerous bees and butterflies from June to August, thus helping to promote biodiversity.
Lavandula 'Munstead' is hardy and grows best in full sun in well-drained, rather dry soil. It is ideal for flower beds, rock gardens, borders or containers and adds a touch of Mediterranean charm to any outdoor area. To keep the plant healthy and flowering, pruning is recommended after flowering in late summer, followed by another light pruning in spring.
