Compact, bee-friendly verbena - Verbena bonariensis 'Lollipop'
Verbena bonariensis 'Lollipop' is a compact variety of the Argentine verbena that provides a beautiful color accent with its bright purple flowers in dense umbels. It flowers from summer to fall and attracts numerous bees, butterflies and other pollinators, making it a valuable plant for natural gardens.
This easy-care verbena is partially hardy and prefers sunny locations with well-drained, rather dry soil. Its compact growth makes it ideal for smaller gardens, beds, pots or as a border planting. In colder regions, it can be maintained by self-seeding or protected with light winter protection. Pruning in spring promotes vigorous growth and lush flowering.
